GEM’s very own Pauline Worthington, with the support of her family did a ‘Socially Distant Walk’ from Crawfordsburn Country Park to Bangor and back in sunny, September 2020. This involved a 6 mile trek by those receiving treatment, survivors and their families to raise much needed funds for Bowel Cancer UK.
This was no mean feat, especially as Pauline herself is currently undergoing Chemotherapy for Bowel Cancer herself. Pauline had literally just finished her latest round prior to doing the walk, she constantly amazes everyone she meets with her positive outlook, passion and drive. GEM was very proud and honored to be able to support her in her quest to fundraise for such a worthy cause.
