GEM recently completed an extensive refurbishment of well-known Belfast bathroom and plumbing merchants, VP Jebb which re-opened its doors in October.
The showroom, which is now owned by leading NI plumbing merchants, Bassetts, following a recent acquisition of the family-owned business, has had a complete reworking of both the front-of-house area and the large warehouse space to the rear of the property.
GEM undertook the extensive refurbishment which included the creation of a new bathroom showroom, as well as an extended trade counter, office accommodation, and improvements throughout the building.
As well as fit out services, the team at GEM also managed the safe removal of asbestos.
Located North of Belfast City Centre, the store has kept its original name in ode to its family roots, as well as retaining its iconic shopfront.
Commenting on the work, Alan Wright, Managing Director at Bassetts, said:
“We’re delighted with the quality of the work GEM has delivered for our newest showroom. It was important that the redevelopment had minimum impact on our customers and tradesmen who have been loyal to this business for many years. GEM was able to work closely with the showroom team to ensure the store was operational for as long as possible and all work was completed on time and on budget to the highest standard.”
GEM has worked with Bassetts on a number of its showrooms. The company now boasts a branch in every county of Northern Ireland and with the addition of VP Jebb, has a total of 17 outlets.
