EDIT SKIN CLINIC, BEACON SOUTH QUARTER SHOPPING COMPLEX

GEM working in conjunction with leading architectural practice HPA Architecture completely transformed a sizable corner unit on behalf of EDIT Skin Clinic at the prestigious Beacon South Quarter Shopping Complex in Sandyford, South Dublin.

The unit was stripped back to its shell and core and it was completely reconfigured to create a spacious modern, sophisticated and ultra-hygienic treatment facility.

A sharp contrasting colour palette was applied in the reception area, the modern design was further enhanced by creative lighting features, industrial detailing with exposed ceiling tracking and colour coordinated AC units contrasted with stylish advertising graphics and walnut wood reception detailing, complete with luxurious furnishings and accessories.

The Treatment area is both spacious and functional with a sharp monochrome theme to enhance and emphasize both the attention to detail and display the extremely high level of hygiene present through the fit for purpose facility. Pops of colour are cleverly added in the soft furnishings and the contrasting sleek walnut doors with black ironmongery offer interesting focal points for the clients.

Challenges were presented as this project required a sharp turnaround within a ‘live’ environment within a commercial retail environment with residential apartments in situ. GEM accommodated both the retail and residential needs by working ‘out of hours’ in the evenings and weekends to offer noise restrictions for the more invasive works required.

Overall GEM ‘s effective programming, skills and ultra-efficient work ethic has created a fabulous treatment facility that will stand the test of time.
